Cristiano Ronaldo Junior has received his first call-up to Portugal’s Under-17 national team, marking another important step in his development as a young footballer.

The 16-year-old forward, popularly known as Cristianinho, was included in head coach Filipe Ramos’ 23-man squad for the upcoming UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying matches.

Ronaldo Jr currently plays for the youth academy of Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, where he continues to develop his skills and gain experience.

His first invitation to the Under-17 team represents a step up in his international career, having previously represented Portugal at Under-15 and Under-16 levels.

The young forward made his international debut for Portugal’s Under-15 team in May 2025. He subsequently progressed to the Under-16 squad, where he scored three goals in nine appearances.
