Osborn Umahi, son of Works Minister David Umahi, has joined his father in mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Photographs from a political gathering showed Osborn standing alongside the minister and other participants as efforts to rally support for Tinubu continue in the South-East.
David Umahi, who has publicly backed the President’s re-election bid, on Sunday expressed confidence that Tinubu and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru would win their respective re-election contests.
Speaking in Abakaliki, the minister predicted that the two leaders would each secure 95 per cent of the votes in the 2027 elections.
“President Bola Tinubu is going to win a second term. Governor Francis Nwifuru is going to win a second term,” Umahi said.
He also indicated that the All Progressives Congress would intensify grassroots mobilisation, including direct engagement with voters at their homes.
“They will go to people’s homes early in the morning and share their messages,” he said.
Osborn’s appearance at the gathering comes as political activities begin to build ahead of the 2027 polls.
However, no official details have emerged on whether he holds a formal position in the campaign or has been assigned specific mobilisation duties.
