A member representing Yagba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Leke Abejide, has concluded plans to formally unveil a statewide political support organization in Kano known as “Asiwaju Kano for Asiwaju Jagaban (AKA),” with the inauguration of coordinators representing all the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

Abejide who holds the title of Asiwaju Yoruba in Kano said the initiative is being established as an organised platform for supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The chairman, House Committee on Customs, further stated that the grand official launch and inauguration ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, 11th November 2026, at Hilton Palace Congress Hall, Kano, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

According to him, the occasion will formally introduce the AKA identity, present its organisational framework and inaugurate 44 Local Government Coordinators who will serve within the movement’s approved administrative structure.

“The initiative has also outlined an ambitious organisational target of 1.5 million votes among non-indigene residents across Kano State. This target forms part of its stated mobilisation ambition ahead of the forthcoming general elections,” he added.

The Kano state Coordinator of AKA, Hon. Seyi Olorunsola, in a statement, stated that, “under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide, the organisation intends to establish a structured statewide network with defined responsibilities, administrative coordination and regular reporting arrangements across the 44 LGAs.

“The inauguration ceremony will feature the presentation of appointment certificates, administration of an oath of commitment, introduction of the local government representatives and goodwill messages from invited dignitaries and stakeholders.”

According to him, the organisers expect the occasion to bring together community representatives, political stakeholders, invited APC representatives and other guests from across Kano State.

The event will be held under the theme: “ONE VISION. ONE MISSION. ONE ASIWAJU.”

The organisers described the launch as the beginning of a new organisational chapter for AKA, with emphasis on structured leadership, accountability, community engagement and peaceful participation in the democratic process.
