Popular Nigerian TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has expressed his desire to host Nobel Prize-winning writer Prof. Wole Soyinka on his livestream.
Peller made this known during one of his livestreams, promising to share more details about the planned session soon.
He said the session would be an opportunity for viewers to enjoy Soyinka’s use of the English language.
“I want to do a stream with Prof. Wole Soyinka. I will announce it soon and tell you guys the plan. It will be a proper English day. You will hear some ‘grammar’ that day,” Peller said.
His announcement has generated reactions online because of the difference between his humorous and informal streaming style and Soyinka’s reputation as one of Africa’s most respected literary figures.
Peller is known for his entertaining livestreams, which often feature celebrities and other content creators. He has built a large following through his spontaneous conversations and humorous approach.
Soyinka, a renowned playwright, poet and novelist, made history in 1986 when he became the first African to win the Nobel Prize in Literature.
However, Peller has yet to announce a date for the proposed livestream. It is also unclear whether Soyinka has accepted the invitation.
