President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Press Council (NPC), Dr Dili Ezughah, on his 65th birthday, commending his contributions to journalism, public communication and national development.
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President acknowledged Ezughah’s decades of service and his commitment to promoting professionalism, ethical conduct and responsibility in the Nigerian media.
Tinubu described Ezughah’s career as a testament to the value of professionalism, dedication and service to the country, noting that his 65th birthday provided an opportunity to celebrate his personal milestone as well as his contributions to Nigeria’s media landscape.
The President particularly commended the NPC boss for his efforts in strengthening standards and ethical practices within the media industry.
“Through your service at the Nigeria Press Council and your broader contributions to the media profession, you have continued to play a role in strengthening the standards, ethics and responsibilities that underpin a credible press.
“As our nation continues to deepen its democratic institutions, the role of a professional, ethical and responsible media cannot be overemphasised.
“I commend your commitment to this important national responsibility, and I wish you renewed strength, wisdom and good health as you continue to contribute to the development of our nation and the advancement of Nigerian press,” Tinubu said.
The President wished Ezughah continued success and fulfilment as he advances in his service to the country.
