The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) will on Thursday account for its funding of tertiary education in Nigeria at its second National Town Hall Meeting in Abuja.

The meeting is scheduled for October 15, 2026, and is being organised by the Fund’s Board of Trustees chaired by former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari.

TETFund said the town hall is aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in its operations and providing a platform to explain its mandate and impact on tertiary education since its establishment.

The Director of Public Affairs of the Fund, Abdulmumin Oniyangi, disclosed this in a statement, adding that the engagement is part of efforts to strengthen stakeholder participation and public understanding of the agency’s activities.

According to the statement, the event will bring together policymakers, academics, students, civil society organisations and members of the public for direct interaction with the leadership of the Fund on issues relating to its mandate and contributions to tertiary education development.

The Fund urged education stakeholders and members of the public to participate in the meeting.

“The event is expected to bring together policymakers, academics, students, civil society organisations and members of the public for interactive sessions with TETFund leadership.

“Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with the Fund’s leadership on issues relating to its mandate, operations and contributions to the development of tertiary education in Nigeria,” the statement said.

TETFund urged stakeholders in the education sector and members of the public to participate in the engagement.
