Former France international Thierry Henry and British journalist Kate Scott will host the 70th edition of the Ballon d’Or ceremony on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the London Palladium in the United Kingdom.

France Football and UEFA announced the hosts on the official Ballon d’Or website. The ceremony will bring together top football personalities to celebrate outstanding performances by players over the past year.

Henry, who finished second in the 2003 Ballon d’Or voting, received nine nominations for the award during his playing career.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona forward won the 1998 FIFA World Cup with France. He also won the UEFA Champions League with Barcelona in 2009.

Scott is a British sports journalist who presents UEFA Champions League coverage on CBS Sports in the United States. She regularly works alongside Henry on the network’s football programmes.

Speaking about her appointment, Scott described the Ballon d’Or ceremony as one of the biggest events on the football calendar.

She said the award celebrates individual excellence and brings together people from across the football world to honour players who inspire future generations.

Scott added that she was grateful for the opportunity and excited to host the prestigious ceremony again.

Henry also expressed his excitement about hosting the event in London, a city he considers home.

The former French striker said he was honoured to host the ceremony alongside Scott, whom he described as a friend and colleague.

He noted that his strong connection to London and its football culture made the city a special place to host the event.

Henry added that he looked forward to an exciting evening celebrating the best players in world football.

The 70th Ballon d’Or ceremony will hold at the London Palladium Theatre on October 26, when the winners of the prestigious football awards will be announced
