Manchester City are waiting for an update on Erling Haaland after the striker was forced off during Norway’s UEFA Nations League clash with Portugal on Sunday.
Haaland asked to be substituted in the second half and was replaced by Jorgen Strand Larsen in the 67th minute.
The Manchester City striker had played every minute of Norway’s previous three matches during the international break.
He scored twice in Norway’s 3-2 win over Denmark before scoring again in their 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the first meeting between the two teams.
Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca will be hoping Haaland’s injury is not serious ahead of their Premier League trip to Liverpool on October 11.
Haaland has scored seven goals in seven appearances for City across all competitions this season.
City will already be without Phil Foden for the trip to Anfield as he serves a red card suspension.
There are also injury concerns over Nico O’Reilly and Antoine Semenyo.
