England midfielder Jude Bellingham has backed his international teammate Harry Kane as a possible winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Bellingham spoke after England’s 3-0 win over the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday night.
The Real Madrid midfielder praised Kane for his qualities both on and off the pitch.
“Kane is fantastic, as a person and as a player. Nothing he ever does surprises me,” Bellingham said.
He described Kane as an excellent role model and said it was an honour to play alongside him for England.
When asked if Kane could win the Ballon d’Or, Bellingham replied: “Yeah, who knows. Definitely possible.”
Bellingham is also among the final 30 nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony is scheduled to take place in London on October 26.
