Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, says Igbo people must stop playing opposition politics and align with the centre if they want to produce a president.
Soludo gave this charge on Thursday while speaking on the need for Igbo presidency.
According to the governor, Igbos have protested and lamented for too long without results, and it is time to change strategy.
“We (Ndi Igbo) have protested for too long, but this time, we must be part of the game. There is no prize for second or third position. Igbos will become president, but it will be by agreement,” Soludo said.

He questioned how the South-East expects to get federal intervention on erosion and bad roads in Anambra if it does not work with the President.
“This erosion and bad roads in Anambra, is it not President Tinubu we will meet to help intervene?” he asked.
Soludo maintained that the presidency will not be achieved through protest or isolation, but through negotiation and alliance with other regions.
He said aligning with President Bola Tinubu's administration remains the most realistic path for Ndi Igbo to achieve their political ambition.
