Former beauty queen and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, has penned an emotional tribute to her late husband Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, on his 93rd posthumous birthday.
In a post on her Instagram page, Bianca celebrated the late Ojukwu with a touching message.
“Happy Heavenly Birthday, My Dearest. Not a day goes by that we don’t miss you. Today, especially, I feel the emptiness of your absence and wish I could see your smile, hear your voice, hold your hand, and celebrate another birthday by your side. The children are now grown but still hold on to the love, memories, and beautiful moments we all shared. Those remain strong anchors in trying times. I hope heaven is celebrating you as beautifully as I would have here on earth. Until we meet again, Dearest, continue to rest peacefully. You are loved, missed, and remembered today and always.” she wrote.
The couple were married for 17 years before Ojukwu’s death on November 26, 2011.
The post has drawn reactions from Nigerians and well-wishers who joined her in remembering the late warlord.
