Bandits release video of abducted Kaduna couple and their baby, demand N300m ransom

Bandits have released a video of a couple and their six-month-old baby who were kidnapped in Kaduna State, demanding N300m ransom.

LIB reported that bandits invaded Alrahus Estate in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of the state on Monday, October 5, 2026, abducting the victims, including a pregnant woman.

In a video seen by LIB, the abducted man, identified as Ahmad Abubakar Zakka, was seen appealing to members of the public for help while his wife sat beside him and their baby daughter sat on his lap.

The footage showed the family being held captive by the assailants.

Zakka was also holding one hand in a position that seemed to restrict his movement, and his right hand was swollen.

His wife also appeared to be pleading for help as the family appealed for assistance to secure their release.

In the video, Zakka identified himself and made an emotional appeal to the public, saying he was seeking help and urging people to come to the family’s aid.

“My name is Ahmad Abubakar Zakka. I am seeking help from God, and I am asking you to come to our aid. I was taken away on Monday,” he said.

He subsequently pleaded for assistance, disclosing that the kidnappers were demanding N300 million as ransom.

“Please, I am pleading for help. Please help me, help me… They are demanding a ransom of N300 million. Please come to our aid and help us,” he said.
