2027: ‘That’s how Edo guber was won’ – Wike unveils strategy to deliver Tinubu, PDP, APC candidates

During a stakeholders’ meeting of the Rainbow Coalition Movement held in Abuja, the minister reaffirmed this commitment, mobilising leaders from multiple political parties, federal legislators, and community representatives to advance President Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.

The gathering, held at the minister’s official residence in Life Camp on Monday, brought together a broad political coalition comprising the PDP National Chairman, state chairmen of both the PDP and the APC, all six FCT area council chairmen, senatorial and House of Representatives candidates from both parties, former members of the National Assembly, and prominent community stakeholders.

“The last election that took place in Edo State, the victory was as a result of the coalition between the legacy PDP and APC. We are going to work together to return President Tinubu and APC candidates for the National Assembly,” he said.

“Effective leadership encompasses decision-making capacity. It is not merely about correctness but rather the capability to make decisive choices; that constitutes authentic leadership,” the minister added.

Positioning himself as the principal architect of the political strategy, Wike affirmed his commitment to directing political activities across the FCT and Rivers State, assuring candidates that obstacles to their electoral success had been systematically removed.

“I have called you here to tell you that we shall be engaged in supporting President Tinubu’s administration.

“I hold the position of field operations officer, and under my leadership, success is assured. You will observe a marked transformation in the manner in which political operations are conducted.

“Our collective endeavour will focus on securing President Tinubu’s re-election and supporting candidates for the National Assembly.

“We are committed to working on behalf of the President, encompassing candidates from both the PDP and APC.
